Preparing for Christmas

 It took us some time to decide but eventually we agreed that it was worth spending a bit more and having something of a statement carpet on the stairs.  Its from Roger Oates    

We managed to take all the 'salmon pink' paint and the old brown carriage paint of the fireplace in the Snug as well - looks much better now.

 If you have been following our story from last year you will remember our Christmas Star (we have  pics on one of the pages on this blog).  well of course we had to improve on the look this year so we now have three Stars.  Not sure how we can top that next year as the window is getting a bit crowded.
